Safety is a serious business. In recent years there have been many changes in the way we build, maintain and work near electrical equipment. The National Fire Protection Agency (NFPA) and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standards have new changes that affect all employees and contractors while working on or near energized components. We have designed innovative public and onsite safety courses that not only teach participants to comply with these often misunderstood standards, but also teaches them within emergency hands-on scenarios. NFPA 70E Arc Flash Hazard Training

This course will cover the NFPA 70E: Standard for electrical safety in the workplace and also the process of preparing a detailed arc flash hazard analysis to include: Single-Line Diagrams, Data Gathering, Short Circuit Analysis, Protective Device Coordination, Arc Flash Calculations, Arc Flash Labels, Personal Protective Equipment, Final Report and Arc Flash Hazard Safety Training.

Blood-borne Pathogens

Designed for those who are at risk for on the job exposure to blood and other bodily fluids in the workplace. The course teaches staff how bloodborne pathogens are spread, how to avoid exposure and what to do if exposed to infectious material. This course is one of the requirements of the OSHA Bloodborne Pathogens Standard.

First Aid & CPR for Electrical Workers

This course covers NFPA, Cal/OSHA and NIOSH safety standards related to workplace electrical hazards. Participants will learn to recognize and respond appropriately to cardiac, breathing and first aid emergencies based on American Red Cross training. The course concludes with a brief clinical presentation of common post-injury treatment. This course complies with the annual refresher and full 2-year First Aid/CPR/AED for adults certification.
